Here is my version of white in the winter time as promised in my earlier post Winter White. I want to try an all white ensemble, but haven't gotten the perfect combination yet. How would you wear this trend? I could use your creative ideas!

Not only am I in love with the color of this jacket, but TA-DA! It has ruffles too! Add ruffles to anything and I will fall in love instantly. This camel color is so versatile and a less harsh version of the leather jacket as opposed to a black one. It almost goes with anything! Throw it over jeans and a t-shirt, or a long bohemian dress. The result is instant put-togetherness!

It is completely and officially cold outside where I live! No more random days of 95 degree weather I hope. In all actuality, we are never really happy with the weather. We always want it to be what it is not. I'm sure I will soon be ranting about how I am sick and tired of wearing tights and jackets everyday! But as of this moment, I am reveling in it! There is nothing like the fresh air after the rain. I don't care for the rain, but the aftermath...YES!

Oh my, I could not WAIT to wear these boots. They are one of my favorite purchases for fall. Only $25 on Overstock.com and free shipping! They may still have them if you want to snag a pair for yourself! The camel color is DIVINE and kind of rare. I haven't seen many boots in this color before. And you know I love anything with studs! I give these boots an A++! They are great to just throw on with an oversized sweater and leggings or tights with a skirt! Soooo versatile. Ok, I have a question for you all...Does anyone else tuck their jeans into their socks when wearing boots? I always feel like a giant dork if I am trying on shoes in a store and have to expose my "jeans tucked into socks" look. I always kind of hide my feet so no one sees. Haha. I just hate when my jeans bunch up over my boots, and socks seem to hold them in place! Just one of my weird thoughts...

Something happened today after I put on my knee socks and heels. I am now addicted to them! I vaguely remember sometime in junior high when I attempted to wear white knee socks with black maryjanes...I think it was inspired by the movie "Clueless" aka Best Movie EVER! You know your an 80's kid if you grew up wanting to dress like Alicia Silverstone in that movie! What I would give for a revolving closet like she had! But this look is in no way like my strange attempt to be cool as an adolecent. Knee socks with heels are officially added to my repitoire! They are kind of like wearing extremely well fitting knee high boots!

Now I have seen this trend with different colored socks and shoes, but for now I will take baby steps! I love wearing tights with different colored shoes! That used to be a no no, but now those rules don't apply! Throw those old fashion rules out the window! If you want to try this at home but are a little timid about it, start with black socks and black heels. I paired opaque black tights under my socks as well. I will probably be experimenting with other colors in the future! Can't wait! Hope you have fun trying this at home! Let me know how it goes!

I feel like these two pieces don't really go together, but somehow it works! I was insistent on wearing this shirt today and the skirt was kind of an afterthought. If you have trouble choosing your daily ensemble, pick one piece to base the rest of your outfit around. When I have a hard time finding something to wear, the aftermath is brutal. My bed and floor will be covered with mountains of clothing, shoes, jewelry, and other random things. It is horrendous and NOT fun to clean up.

This outfit is easy breezy, and gives off the impression that you're not trying too hard ("I try really hard, actually" hee hee! ). There are so many different things going on in it, and they all seem to contradict one another. The frilly skirt, old man hat, preppy sweater, statement necklace, tough girl boots...that's what I love about fashion, the possibilities are endless!
