The World Is My Runway

Not only am I in love with the color of this jacket, but TA-DA!  It has ruffles too!  Add ruffles to anything and I will fall in love instantly.  This camel color is so versatile and a less harsh version of the leather jacket as opposed to a black one.  It almost goes with anything!  Throw it over jeans and a t-shirt, or a long bohemian dress.  The result is instant put-togetherness!

These shoes may be my favorite purchase EVER.  They are in a word... supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! Did I spell that without looking it up you wonder?  Not a chance.  Haha.  I bought these ridiculous shoes last year at Ross of course for $20.  They must have been marked incorrectly because I later saw them at Ross for $80!  Yay for human error!  And the joy of discount stores!

I took my photos today around sundown.  I am experimenting with different lighting, and dang it is difficult to take pictures at night!  But it was fun and created a different background.  Have you ever noticed that when the sun starts going down it gets dark so quickly!  Before I knew it, darkness filled the sky!

As you know, I love pairing opposites (See Opposites Attract, A Little Romance, All Tiered Up).  This look is a prime example!  A sweet, silky skirt (With pockets! Yay!) with a leather (not real) studded jacket, and tough peep toe booties.  Add a big, chunky statement bracelet and you are good to go!

I’m blue da ba di da ba di…Anyone remember that song?  Or am I the only one?  It was pretty awesome and weird all at the same time!  Kind of like this outfit!

If there were ever a pair of pants to make me feel happy, these would be the ones.  I cannot begin to explain how comfortable they are.  It's like pajama pants for day time!  They make my legs have a party, they are so soft!  I just might do a little jig...in celebration of my new pants!  Don't worry, I am only joking.  I would not traumatize you that way.  There will be no pictures of me getting my boogie on...EVER.

Even though I could talk about these pants all day, we must move on.  This (fake) leather jacket I have been dying to wear, but the heat has prevented me.  In the spring I had searched far and wide for a short sleeved leather jacket and found it at Burlington Coat Factory.  I love the little ruffle sleeves...makes it a little less biker chick.

I don't know what we did before all these amazing shoes started popping up everywhere.  Gladiator sandals, studded heels, shoe booties!  They hardly even make simple, plain shoes anymore.  The statement shoe is definitely a work of art!  I have always been a shoe girl.  When I was about 5 years old my mom took me to the swap meet.  I fell in love with these gold sandals (I think they made them to play dress up) that were bejeweled to the nines!  I insisted on wearing those things everywhere!  So you see, some things never change!
